Isabela Senatore é fotógrafa e videomaker nascida e baseada em Campinas, São Paulo, Brasil. Sua produção transita entre o documental e o comercial, com um olhar sensível voltado para narrativas humanas, cultura e identidade.
Formada em Fotografia pelo The Art Institute of Boston at Lesley University (EUA) em 2001, iniciou sua trajetória internacional ainda em 2000, quando foi selecionada para um programa de estágio na Magnum Photos, em Nova York.
Ao longo de sua carreira, desenvolveu projetos documentais no Brasil e em países como Guatemala, México, Peru e Índia, explorando contextos culturais diversos e aprofundando sua pesquisa visual.
Desde 2004, mantém parceria com o fotógrafo João Chimentão, atuando em fotografia institucional, publicitária, fotojornalismo e projetos autorais. Entre 2009 e 2019, acompanhou e documentou o universo da música erudita, com destaque para o trabalho junto à regente Ligia Amadio e diversas orquestras.
Seu trabalho também dialoga com patrimônio cultural e memória. Em 2013–2014, atuou junto ao IPHAN na construção do Inventário Nacional de Referências Culturais (INRC), registrando o patrimônio imaterial no Espírito Santo.
Autora de duas monografias — Devoção (2014), premiada internacionalmente pelo London Book Festival e New England Book Festival, e Transitório (2019) —, Isabela amplia sua linguagem para o audiovisual, tendo o curta Transitórioselecionado na mostra de fotofilmes do Festival Hércules Florence em 2021.
Além da produção artística, atua com curadoria e formação. Realizou curadorias de exposições no Centro Cultural Patrícia Galvão na cidade de Santos e conduziu workshops e expedições fotográficas no Brasil e no exterior, incluindo Índia e México.
Entre 2018 e 2022, desenvolveu projetos itinerantes que integraram expedição, formação e exposição em diferentes regiões do Brasil, em parceria com o curador Andrés Hernández. Também esteve envolvida em iniciativas de impacto social e ambiental, como o projeto O Futuro do Rio Doce Somos Nós.
Nos últimos anos, vem ampliando sua atuação em projetos sociais e comunitários, como Ocupação Ocupação (2023), nas periferias de Campinas, e Retratos do Nosso Bairro (2024), realizado com apoio da FEAC. Em paralelo, atende empresas multinacionais com fotografia publicitária e documental.
Em 2026, segue desenvolvendo projetos autorais e comerciais, consolidando uma carreira que une narrativa e impacto social.
Seu trabalho já foi exposto em museus e galerias em diversos países.

IIsabela Senatore is a photographer and videomaker based in Campinas, São Paulo, Brazil. Her work moves between documentary and commercial fields, guided by a sensitive visual language focused on human narratives, culture, and identity.
She graduated in Photography from The Art Institute of Boston at Lesley University (USA) in 2001. In 2000, she was selected for an internship program at Magnum Photos in New York, marking the beginning of her international experience.
Throughout her career, she has developed documentary projects across Brazil and in countries such as Guatemala, Mexico, Peru, and India, exploring diverse cultural contexts and deepening her visual research.
Since 2004, she has collaborated with photographer João Chimentão, working on institutional, advertising, photojournalism, and authorial projects. Between 2009 and 2019, she documented the world of classical music, closely following the career of conductor Ligia Amadio and several orchestras.
Her work also engages with cultural heritage and memory. Between 2013 and 2014, she collaborated with IPHAN (Brazilian National Institute of Historic and Artistic Heritage) on the National Inventory of Cultural References (INRC), documenting intangible cultural heritage in the state of Espírito Santo.
She is the author of two monographs — Devotion (2014), awarded internationally at the London Book Festival and New England Book Festival, and Transitory (2019). Expanding her practice into audiovisual language, her short film Transitory was selected for the Photo Film Showcase at the Hércules Florence Festival in 2021.
In addition to her artistic production, she works as a curator and educator. She curated photography exhibitions at Centro Cultural Patrícia Galvão (Santos, Brazil) and led workshops and photographic expeditions in Brazil and abroad, including India and Mexico.
Between 2018 and 2022, she developed traveling projects combining expeditions, workshops, and exhibitions for visual artists across different regions of Brazil, in collaboration with curator Andrés Hernández. She has also participated in social and environmental initiatives, such as The Future of Rio Doce is Ours.
In recent years, she has expanded her work in community-based projects, including Ocupação Ocupação (2023), in the outskirts of Campinas, and Portraits of Our Neighborhood (2024), supported by FEAC. At the same time, she works with multinational companies on commercial and documentary photography projects.
In 2026, she continues to develop both personal and commercial work, consolidating a career that combines aesthetics, storytelling, and social impact.
Her work has been exhibited in museums and galleries internationally.
